About Us

Since 2016 we have created coffee concepts from coffee delivery, drive thru coffee shops, mall coffee shops and brick and mortar shops. We know what it is like to start with minimal funds or even no money at all. We have been in the trenches starting from the ground up to make our coffee dreams come true while being full time parents of 4 kids! I know we are a little crazy but, if you have a dream, a little faith and a no quit attitude you can do it too! We BELIEVE IN YOU!

Here are a few of the things we can do for you:

1. Set name and logo
2. Establish a website and design website
3. Set menu (menu design, pricing, printed menu, menu functionality for tv's)
4. Design business plan and budget
5. Design cups, lids, sleeves and any other hand held products
6. Purchase ceramic cups
7. Design signage 
8. Design training program for all staff and volunteers
9. Create a plan for parking
10. Establish operating hours (including hours before open and after close)
11. Make sure the facility and staff are up to date on all requirements by the state to stay in operation
12. Make sure required staff have taken the food handlers course
13. Make sure the manager of the coffee shop has passed the certified food managers course required by The State 
14. Become compliant with all state regulations
15. Make sure staff is trained on how to become a barista if not currently a barista
16. Set up ordering for all products including but not limited to, coffee, milk, cups, cutlery, food products and all merchandise

18. Set up and program POS to fluctuate with menu ordering
19. Set up of POS reporting (i.e. sales reports)
20. Set mergers and acquisitions activities to expand market presence and increase revenue streams
21. Develop effective marketing strategies to promote products/services to  target markets
22. Train baristas to produce top quality drinks and great customer service
23. Develop social media posts strategies to drive community engagement through the use of social media including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
24. Create a handbook that gives direction for but not limited to: Crisis situations, emergency situations, staying up to code for the inspectors surprise inspections, over-time, time-off, holidays, payroll, code of conduct, hiring process, disciplinary process etc
25. Set up financial systems for fluidity for payroll, gifts, donations ect
26. Set up an inventory system for the coffee shop and employees
27. Set up schedules and rotation of staff, events, worship times ect
28. Set up time for weekly staff meetings
29. Set up times for frequent staff training

Small Beginnings

Josh and Jodi began their coffee journey in 2016 with limited financial resources but grand aspirations. They had previously dedicated the majority of their careers to serving underprivileged youth. Josh worked as a Juvenile Services Officer and launched programs to encourage and support children through sports, education, and community outreach. Together, they served as directors and house parents for an orphanage, spearheading the Lighthouse Initiative in Houston, Texas.

Around this time, they also started a coffee delivery company called Bean Kings. Unable to afford a traditional coffee shop, they delivered specialty-made beverages to schools, hospitals, and homes throughout the Houston metropolitan area. The business quickly gained traction after they were invited to a radio station, where the host enthusiastically praised their unique flavors. This exposure propelled the business forward.

Shortly after, the Bean Kings team was offered free office space, which they gratefully accepted. However, this arrangement proved unsuitable for the needs of their growing business, and they were forced to relocate after a year. Faced with this setback, they made the difficult decision to temporarily put Bean Kings on hold.

Soon after, Josh accepted a position as a Program Director for Teen Challenge in Oklahoma, prompting the family's relocation. During this time, Josh took on increased responsibilities at home to support the family's decision to homeschool their children. It was then that Josh received a call from a local business owner, who invited him to open a coffee shop in their establishment.

Seizing this opportunity, Josh and Jodi opened a coffee shop in a low-income town of approximately 2,000 people. Despite the challenges, their business venture proved remarkably successful, generating over $100,000 in sales and becoming a beloved local destination.

After this triumph, the family moved to the Oklahoma City area, where they opened another coffee shop in a prominent mall. In 2024, they sold this enterprise and transitioned to focusing full-time on their syrup company and consulting work.

Throughout their coffee journey, Josh and Jodi have demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to their passion for the coffee industry and serving their local communities. Their story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the pursuit of one's dreams, even in the face of adversity.
